Concept Dictates the Medium

Although the work varies in mediums, it remains consistent within its themes

involving displacement, migration, architecture, death and the idea of home.

Engaging within communities of interest and foreign environments, allows me to form collaborations to

document stories. What often begins with video/film portraits of individuals who have been socially set aside,

such as the elderly and working class, a new body of work emerges in the forms of paintings, works on paper

and installations. The work confronts taboo issues, explores how we judge one another, and finds a common

ground through universal struggles by deconstructing and analyzing institutions, while highlighting diversity.
